I have been really incredibly busy at my day job these days. Working late, not posting on the Internets, lunches at the desk, all that good stuff.
I'd say not much has been going on otherwise, but that would be a lie. I started writing for another site which is a pretty cool travel site that is still in beta called Planet Eye. I am the "local expert" for Seattle. Yay me! So that's three sites that have suffered due to this crazy amount of work that has to get done in the next 24 hours. I've also been playing quite a bit of Guitar Hero III and finishing up Assassin's Creed. What do they say? If you can't beat them, join them? Yeah, that's me. My band, Stillwater, can only really rock out on the easy level, but before this weekend, I really thought I'd make it in the big time.
That's right. After being turned away by Neumos (the bastards) at the M83 show this weekend, the Companion Cube and I were rundown by a minivan thereby ending my once promising rock legend career.
Even though I won't be the next Slash (or whomever), I did learn a great deal of things this weekend.
- For instance, did you know that hospitals test for pregnancy if you are a woman and you answer yes to both sexually active (sorry mom) and male partner? So, even though I didn't think I was, now I know for sure that I do not have a parasite (symbiote?) living in my womb. Yay!
- Hospital ceilings aren't as clean as they are in the movies. Ew!
- Companion Cube's head is so large they needed to x-ray it 3 times to get the whole thing! Amazing!
- The human body is tough! We both bent a little, but did not break. Double yay!
There's more, but I have to get back to work. One of us will probably post a blow by blow later. Oh and to answer your question: Yes, this is the most hilarious and ridiculous thing that has happened to me, I think. I wish I could have seen it on tape.
